Check-in
Checking in at the reception area was a breeze. I was happily greeted by the front desk staff, and they all gave me warm smiles and positive aura that we usually expect as guests, but (at times) not always get. Well, that’s an easy and wonderful start!
Seeing the numbers (and smiles) above makes you more excited to go up to your room and start your staycation journey!
Lots of room for hotel guests who with free fast Wi-Fi, while pastries and snacks are also available for sale so you won’t get bored (and hungry) while waiting for your loved ones at the lobby.
Room
After I was given my room key and provided with special instructions about my meals – very important 🤣, I headed to my room and was (LITERALLY) really satisfied, not only because it had a fantastic view, but because the room had so much space, it could fit a whole family (of around 5) + a little extra room for friends for a very affordable and competitive rate. You could just imagine yourself being in this room, where every amenity and finishing are A-Grade. I sensed that the Hotel puts a lot of value for guests because you will have a lot of room area/space! Lots of room for your luggage, room for your kids to play, and enough room for your visitors to comfortably relax. The room ambiance oozes earth tones, and that’s a good thing! especially for me, since I am a backpacker, I really appreciate the minimalist approach to hotel room design, not sacrificing quality and affordability.
As soon as I saw the bathtub, I already wanted to hop in and have a warm soak (even if it’s already hot outside the hotel haha) and just relax for the first few hours. Well, that didn’t happen! because I got a surprise from the hotel management!
Well it ain’t my birthday I’m pretty sure of that, but as soon as I removed the cover from the plate, I saw a slice of cake and a greeting! How thoughtful of them 🙂 and mind you, the cake slice was absolutely delightful! Thank you, City Garden Grand Hotel for the sweet welcome!
Everything inside my room was a visual treat. Including this panoramic view of Makati City through super high glass windows. I’m actually afraid of heights, so I had to compose myself before I took this shot (remote) haha.
