If you are looking for a peaceful stay in Boracay, Chillout Hostel will be your perfect choice! Rated 8.8/10 on HostelWorld, 8.6/10 on Booking.com, 8.4/10 on Agoda, 8.1/10 on Traveloka, 4.8/5 on Facebook, and 4.5/5 on TripAdvisor, you are definitely assured of a terrific, or rather “chill” stay.
This article is in partnership with Chillout Hostel. This trendy and practical hostel is located in Barangay Balabag, which is only 5-6 minutes walk to/from White beach, and 1-2 minutes to/from Balabag beach.
Their rooms are divided into private and group/dorm types with a total of 34 dorm beds and 1 private room (total of 5 private rooms in 2 months’ time). They also have a restaurant/cafe that’s open for both in house and walk-in guests. Dorm rooms have “lockers” where you can safeguard your valuables, but you have to bring your own lock and key – or just purchase them directly at the hostel.
I immediately noticed how charming and relaxed the overall vibe was, and how the hostel staff made guests feel at home with warm and authentic smiles. Right then and there I knew I was in for a wonderful stay! good thing I arrived early and was able to take photos of the rooms before the guests arrived in the afternoon.
Above you see Jemimah – front desk, and Ricky – the manager of Chillout Hostel. Ricky is very hands-on when it comes to making sure their guests only have the best experience while staying at their hostel. From FREE Rhum Nights, FREE Pasta, FREE Wi-Fi, and a lot more promos and discounts!
“Our mixed aircon/non-aircon dorm rooms offer you maximum privacy with individual bed curtains, lockers big enough to fit your backpack, ensuite hot & cold showers with free shampoo, shower gel and bath towels, cleanliness at its best.” – Chillout Hostel
My room was already cool when I came in and that’s a huge plus for me, us Filipinos love our Air conditioning lol. (But always remember to turn off and unplug all devices when leaving your rooms to conserve electricity.)
Chillout Hostel doesn’t have complimentary breakfast included in their room rates, but you won’t go bankrupt with Php140-170 breakfast meals. They also have ala-carte selections/viands for our Filipino travellers who can’t live without rice – lol, and eclectic options for our foreign friends.
“Chill Out Hostel provides affordable food and drinks at our Chill Restobar, free WiFi lounge area with a wide screen TV, different activities such as darts and more. Save your time and money by checking our Chill Out info board for things to do in Boracay, getting around, night life and events around the island.” – Chillout Hostel
Now Chillout Hostel definitely didn’t get its fame and name from having private rooms, but for their dorm rooms! this is actually my second time staying at Chillout Hostel – first one was way back 2016: LINK HERE – this hostel’s main mission is to provide Boracay visitors with an affordable and comfortable place to stay that’s just a stone throw away from Boracay hotspots. True enough, Chillout Hostel is only 6-7 minutes away from the world-famous white beach.
So if you’re planning to visit Boracay, make sure to check out Chillout Hostel!
