Honolulu Café, SM Aura Premier

It’s so good to be back!

And what better way to celebrate our brand new post than to do it with food! and by food, I mean tasty goodies from Honolulu Café at SM Aura Premier in BGC, Taguig. I’ve been here about 3 years ago, and covered most of their dishes, and now for our latest visit, I’m going to show you their store’s brand new look, and experience. Let’s dig in!

You can easily identify Honolulu Café among a swarm of restaurants; from their unique logo, eye-catching warm-yellow theme in-and-out, and the yummy bakery items proudly displayed in front of their stores.

Bakery

Red Bean Bun – ₱50/ piece
Coconut Cocktail Bun – ₱60/ piece
Mini BBQ Pork Buns – ₱65/ 2 pieces
Mexico Chocolate Chip Bun – ₱60/ piece

Dining Section

If you’ve been here before, this space is will truly give you a “wow” effect, why you might ask? cause they did a major expansion of floor space, covering more area for more happy and hungry customers. And you’ll also see their carving station. I just know it smells heavenly inside.

Beef Brisket 牛腩 – ₱328
Roasted Pork Belly 脆皮肉 – regular ₱450, half ₱675
Soy Chicken 油鳮 – half ₱450, whole ₱900
Deep Fried Prawn with Salted Egg Yolk 黄金虾球 – ₱488

Yummy right? you’re looking at four of their bestsellers, and my favorites: Beef Brisket, Roasted Pork Belly, Soy Chicken, and Deep Fried Prawn with Salted Egg Yolk. This combo will surely make you not only full (busog) but also wanting for more (next time, or maybe later?). The brisket was creamy, the meat was very tender and just right amount of spice. The roasted pork belly was sinfully heavenly, fatty, meaty, and the skin was uber crispy! Soy Chicken had us wanting for more rice! very savory and tender. And last but not the least, my personal favorite, Prawns in Salted Egg Yolk (reading this and looking at the photo made my mouth water lol) the prawns were really huge! just look at how their size compare to the plate diba? The prawns were juicy, tender, will burst in your mouth with each bite, and the salted egg coating just complements them very well. Any other salted egg fans out there? 😀

Honolulu Egg Tart

Honolulu Egg Tart 檀島极品酥皮蛋挞 – ₱50 per piece

Crispy/crumbly and flaky crust with a creamy eggy goodness in the center – I can’t think of any other words to describe this OG. Best partnered with coffee or hot tea. Bring a box to go! they’re warm all day!

Hong Kong Style Milk Tea 香滑奶茶 (熱 / 凍) – ₱120

Finish everything off with Hong Kong Milk Tea, or your beverage of choice. But if you’re not into the usual milk tea that’s sweet/sugary, try their Hong Kong Style Milk Tea w/o milk. It reminded me of the original milk teas I’ve had in Taiwan.
